Samsung loses on Apple ban in the Netherlands

Another win for Apple
Fri Oct 14 2011, 16:04

KOREAN HARDWARE GIANT Samsung had its request for a ban on Apple products turned down in a Dutch court today.

Samsung's claim was that Apple's products, including the Iphone and Ipad, infringed patents regarding 3G communications technology. The injunction request was turned down, according to Reuters.

We've contacted Samsung for its reaction to the decision but are still awaiting its comment, and meanwhile, the fruit themed firm's Iphone 4S has gone on sale today without a glitch.

The patents war between the two technology vendors has become increasingly hard to keep track of. The two have legal battles going on in various countries around the world, including Germany, Korea and Japan.

Samsung upgraded some of its Galaxy branded devices to overcome the temporary sales ban on them on Europe. Meanwhile Apple recently scored another point against its rival by getting a temporary sales ban approved in Australia. µ

@samsung

You have to hire the right locals, it's not easy for outsiders to understand the system of corruption in the EU and even worse in the netherlands, the system is very ancient and so ingrained they don't even see it themselves as corrupt and the play has to be done so that they can continue that illusion at comfort.
If you play it right they will give everybody a nice (but unfair) deal and they don't mind if every money-soaked party is in the club, so think of a deal that benefits both apple and samsung but assuredly, and mainly, the ones holding the strings. But note: never go with a straight cash bribe, that would be outrageous.
