SECURITY VENDOR Bullguard has launched its Internet Security 12 suite.
The new edition of the security software includes improvements and features to 'streamline' security for the end user.
Claus Villumsen, Bullguard CTO said, "Without compromising the integrity of our core security and protection, we've added new features to maintain the software's accepted position as one of the most comprehensive suites around, as well as improving existing features to make them easier to use and more effective at combating emerging threats."
New features of the suite are parental controls and PC tune up. Parental controls include content access, custom schedules and a behavioural monitor. The PC tune up feature allows users to speed up their PCs by removing unwanted files, schedule regular malware scans and manage startup applications. These are features that have been present on rival PC security software for a long time.
The company has given the interface a facelift for improved control with the most important tools to the forefront. Bullguard customers also get 5GB of free online storage in addition to the security suite.
Bullguard prides itself on the suite's behavioural detection and claims it can indentify threats long before traditional methods based on the behaviour of the virus. However, other security software firms tend to look to behavioural detection only if other virus detection methods fail.
Bullguard's Internet Security 12 is available for £44, which covers three licenses for one year. µ
