Fashion designer launches a Windows Phone

GERMAN FASHION DESIGNER Jil Sander has launched her own Windows Phone 7.5 (WP7.5) Mango handset.

The Jil Sander phone aims to satisfy those consumers who desire a Mango handset but want that designer look. It comes in a signature blue colour scheme with a leather sleeve and a pair of noise cancelling headphones.

Jil Sander said the phone "reflects the brand aesthetic universe of unconditional dedication to contemporary design, combining elegance and purity with innovative materials and exceptional craftsmanship."

Either this statement is true or the phone is just like any other WP7.5 smartphone on the market but with Jil's name on the front.

The phone has a 3.8in screen with 480x800 resolution, a 1GHz processor, a decent 16GB of internal storage and a 5MP camera. It also comes pre-loaded with the Jil Sander app, which helps you find clothing stores and look at the collections.

The phone is made by LG and, going by the look and the specifications of the handset, it is effectively a rebranded LG Optimus 7. The Jil Sander designer phone is available in Germany, Austria, Italy, France and the UK. µ
