ONLINE RETAILER Clove has revealed that Samsung's upcoming oversized Galaxy Note smartphone won't come with near field communications (NFC) technology.
There's been a lot of hype surrounding the Galaxy Note since Samsung announced the device at this year's IFA. NFC is becoming more of a standard feature in smartphones but the Samsung Galaxy Note won't have it.

Clove said, "We have today received news, which we believe to be accurate that any Galaxy Note sold in the UK will NOT have NFC on the device."
The online retailer also said that the phone will be able to output high definition video via a Samsung HDTV adapter. It's unlikely that this will be included with the handset, though.
Clove doesn't have a specific date for the Galaxy Note and the £600 price tag is just an estimate at the moment.
Last week we reported that the device might turn up early next month instead of the originally anticipated November. When it is available it will have a 5.3in touchscreen accompanied by a 'Smart Pen' stylus. Like other Samsung Galaxy products it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. µ
