CHINESE PHONE MAKER Huawei is launching an Android handset called the Honor that apparently can keep going for three days without a charge.
The Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread smartphone features a 16m colour high-definition (HD) 4in FWVGA capacitive touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The device is powered by a 1,900 MAh battery, allowing the handset to last for up to three days on a single charge. Huawei claims this is the longest battery life among smartphones in the 4in screen range.
The Huawei Honor has a 1.4GHz processor, an 8MP HDR enabled camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. It is 10.9mm thick and weighs 140g.
The device comes with a Huawei user interface as well as a gyroscope for a better gaming experience.
The smartphone is DLNA-certified so can work with other DLNA-certified devices such as digital cameras, game consoles and TVs.
The Honor smartphone will be commercially available in the UK in 2012 with timing and pricing to be announced at a later date. µ

For 2012 it needs to be better than Gingerbread...
So a battery 40% larger than the Desire Z, but a CPU 80% faster, and it's going to last twice as long...
I'll believe it when I see it!
Look out for the infamous "up to" in the specs.
Although you could implement a really low power cell radio, that would help the power consumption no end. It would just be useless as a phone!
