Adds new features
Tue Sep 20 2011, 17:45

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Google has opened up its social networking service Google+ to everyone.

According to Google's blog, the service was opened today after two-and-a-half months of closed testing. It had originally been an invite only affair for journalists and technology workers and the like.

Through invites the user base then grew to 10 million just two weeks after launch.

Google is adding several new features to the service, including video hangouts on Android smartphones for multi-person chats.

It has integrated internet search within Google+ so members can find search results from socially shared information and accross the web. µ
