MOBILE OPERATOR Orange has the Samsung Wave 578 smartphone on its coming soon page.
Orange has decided to offer customers Samsung's Wave 578 smartphone, which can't be found on rivals' coming soon pages. The phone will have near field communication technology (NFC).
Orange said you can "take advantage of the amazing Quick Tap contactless payment technology and leave your wallet at home."
The phone will come with a 3.2in TFT touchscreen and run Bada version 1.1. However, Samsung has said that the new version of its operating system won't be limited to the Wave 3, M and Y phones that it announced last month.
Specifications include WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.15MP camera and, as mentioned, NFC technology. There will also be Samsung specific content such as its Social Hub and Samsung Apps.
With these specifications we don't expect the price tag to be all that high. Orange's coming soon page says that the phone will be available free on a pay monthly contract. µ
