SMILEY FACED FIRM LG has announced two LW980T models in its 3D Cinema TV line with full nano LED technology.

The LW908T comes in a choice of two gigantic screen sizes of 47in or 55in. They both offer a combination of passive 3D and 'Smart TV' technology in 1920x1080 resolution and a motion clarity index of 1000Hz.

LG said, "The unique NANO FULL LED screen creates brighter, clearer and smoother pictures; and allows the TV design to be slimmer than ever before. This flagship LG TV provides the best in 2D, 3D and SmartTV"

LG will include seven pairs of 3D glasses with the TV and touts wide viewing angles so that everyone can get a good view. Images in 2D and 3D are full HD and flicker free like the firm's 3D monitors. The TV can also convert 2D content to 3D.

The Smart TV part of the deal means that you get WiFi, LG's magic remote, which is somewhat similar to a Nintento Wii remote, and the ability to use your mobile phone as a remote with the use of an app.

On top of this, you have a web browser, LG Apps and access to 'Premium Content' such as the BBC's Iplayer, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. For a closer look, check out our video demo of LG's Smart TV.

Connectivity includes four HDMI ports, two USB slots and your usual set of audio and video inputs and outputs. The TV comes with built-in Freeview HD and the option to purchase glasses allowing dual full screen gaming. µ
