THE UPGRADED Android Market is now available in the UK, mainly on Samsung handsets.
According to Recombu, although admittedly already available for those willing to install the Android Market file itself, the new app works on the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Nexus S smartphones.
As well as looking nice, it is apparently faster too. The new version has some Google Plus sharing features, has a chart for the top trending apps, and more featured apps and editors choice.
Users can +1 their favourite apps, and can share games they have discovered on social networks including Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and Whatsapp.
The US has had access to the updated Android market since July. µ

For me, the most important new feature is the ability to switch between multiple Google accounts within the market.
This new feature really helps those of us that setup a phone with a generic gmail account, but have subsequently migrated their personal domain to Google Apps.

The previous work-around was to negotiate a change of account with each app developer, a potentially lengthy process with an uncertain outcome.
