HP TOUCHPADS HAVE started turning up on Ebay, with bids starting at upwards of £150 for the 32GB version.
It comes after the device sold out within hours of going on sale at bargain prices from around £90 in the UK at many retailers. It also sold out in the US yesterday after the prices were slashed to about $100 for the 16GB model and $150 for the 32GB version.
We found the 32GB Touchpad from a US seller on the auction site with a Buy It Now price of £182.46 plus postage. Other US sellers were managing to flog their Touchpads at $200 to $300 or more.
This means that those who bought Touchpads at the ridiculously cut down prices are now profiting, rather than HP itself, which is losing hundreds of millions.
Other bids still had hours to go but were also reaching upwards of £180. Only a few HP Touchpads were on sale from UK sellers, but we expect that to change shortly. µ
