THE COURT CASE over the ownership of the social networking web site Facebook has taken a turn in the eponymous company's favour after it was revealed that Paul Ceglia's apparent ownership papers do not name the company.
Paul Ceglia has sued Facebook and has claimed a rather significant 50 per cent stake in it. He also claims to have emails between himself and Mark Zuckerberg in which an ownership agreement is bashed out. However, according to Reuters those legal papers do not name Facebook and have nothing to do with the social network.
Facebook has always strongly denied Ceglia's claims as well as the validity of his alleged emails. It asked for access to his computer and his emails, and has apparently found what it was looking for.
In a court filing Facebook's lawyers revealed that they had found an authentic contract on the computer, but added that it only mentions a company called Streetfax, which is a project that Ceglia had employed Zuckerberg to work on.
Earlier we reported that the attorneys had unearthed over one hundred documents, which might have been of some interest to the court, however, Ceglia has fought to keep those out of the case and the courts.
Ceglia has also asked that Zuckerberg hand over the relevant emails from his inbox, something that has not happened yet.
Attorneys for Facebook said they will formally ask a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit, and a hearing is set for later this week. µ

To even try to suggest that a digital copy of the contract has as much validity as an actual paper contract that has been forensically tested is just nonsense.why when it is well known of Zuckerberg's forgery past and well known self depiction as hacker do all these media outlets just act as if we should just believe him? once again the media takes the side of power against the smaller fish ! this is what gets to me the media and power only protect their interests which is the reason for taking the side of Facebook side on this issue , Just look at the difference in the Wikileaks case ! both Wikileaks and Facebook are big on-line sites with huge amount of public and government interest but you dont see the establishment taking the side of Wikileaks why ? because unlike Facebook Julian Assange and Wikileaks work for the people interest not the establishments so the establishment goes against it. Paul Ceglia is a man with a legitimate cause ! his evidence and banking transactions proves Zuckerberg is trying to fraud someone
