FOUL-MOUTHED CELEBRITY CHEF Gordon Ramsay has accused his wife's father of hacking into his email account.
The father-in-law, Chris Hutcheson, allegedly broke into Ramsay's personal and company email accounts "thousands of times", according to a report at The Daily Mail.
Ramsay claims that Hutcheson hired a computer expert, Kevin Fung, to access hundreds of emails on the computers of several Hutcheson family members. Passwords were allegedly stolen from one of Ramsay's computers using a key-logger.
Even Ramsay's personal assistant, Jennifer Aves-Eliott, was a victim of hacking, with close to 2,000 screenshots of her computer screen taken, Ramsay alleges.
Many of the emails accessed included confidential information, such as legal and financial matters. Ramsay claims that the Hutchesons orchestrated an elaborate spying campaign on him and his wife, who has since become estranged from her family.
The accusation is just one of many levelled at the Hutcheson family in a 42-page court document filed with the High Court in London. He accuses several others of his wife's family of being paid excessive amounts for doing little or nothing, including Chris Hutcheson writing five-figure cheques to himself, the doubling of pay for Hutcheson's son and payment of £5,000 a month to a mistress of Hutcheson's for doing nothing.
Ramsay used to be close to Hutcheson, who had worked with him for 12 years, but tensions rose last year when Ramsay suddenly fired the man as CEO of his company Gordon Ramsay Holdings. Hutcheson has since filed an unfair dismissal claim with the courts.
It appears that Ramsay was suspicious of illegal activity with the company's funds. He hired a private investigator, who uncovered the alleged evidence of hacking and unfair payments to family members.
The Hutcheson family denies that there is any validity to Ramsay's claims.
It's not yet clear whether Ramsay will be able to control his bad language in court. µ
