THE APPARENT LEADER of the Lulzsec hackers has been tweeting from the Defcon security conference and goading law enforcement officers in attendance.
Anonymousabu, one of the most vocal of the hackers, at least since Topiary went radio silent, started tweeting apparently live from the event at the end of last week, and asked any members of the law to come and check him out.
"Come find me in the middle of the vendor room, directly opposite No Starch Press. Mention ANTISEC and get a free sticker. #fuckfeds," reads a post on his Twitter feed.
A latter message added, "Vendor room. Across from NO STARCH PRESS. I'm in the area. Find me and you get 0day. Do not find me and feel unsatisfied. LOL."
Another message, posted in response to a request for confirmation that he was really at the event seemed to confirm his posts, but also added the suggestion that he was not where he claimed to be.
"Haha. I really am. I'm enjoying the people looking for me. BTW I watched as 2-3 people went to the location asking for sabu," he said, adding later, "LOL to the two feds that came to the booth. One bald with maroon shirt. And the other with a crewcut Buy a calendar and you might see me LOL". µ
