FBI arrests Anonymous members says Fox News

Leftist freedom fighters are fingered
Tue Jul 19 2011, 15:35

THE MEN IN SUITS have arrested suspected members of Anonymous, according to the US television 'news' network Fox News.

Fox News, which recently confused phone hacking conducted by the now closed News of the World - one of its sister newspapers - with other companies having been hacked, which is an easy mistake to make, if you are a moron, said that three men were picked up by the US federal fuzz this morning.

"The FBI is executing search warrants at the New York homes of three suspected members of notorious hacking group Anonymous early Tuesday morning, FoxNews.com has learned," says the report.

"More than 10 FBI agents arrived at the Baldwin, N.Y., home of Giordani Jordan with a search warrant for computers and computer-related accessories, removing at least one laptop from the premises. The raids at two Long Island, N.Y., homes and one in Brooklyn, N.Y., were ongoing Tuesday morning."

The arrests, said Fox News, were based on allegations concerning the use of distributed denial of service attacks, which we know involve smashing web servers, but Fox might think means spinning the revolving entrance door really, really fast.

Fox News sums up the Anonymous group quite nicely, for a rabidly right wing megaphone, saying, "The Anonymous group is a loose collection of cybersavvy activists inspired by WikiLeaks and its flamboyant head Julian Assange to fight for 'Internet freedom'," it explains, going on to say, "along the way defacing websites, shutting down servers, and scrawling messages across screens web-wide." µ

@W.-

Thats not suprising they also seem to use words like 'liberal' and 'conservative' as derogative words.

Seems as if (in the mainstream 'news' in particular) they are not only unware of what these words mean, but changing them to something different altogether.

Tell an American your a Liberial socialist conservative, and they will just look at you like you've just spoken a foreign language, and in a way I suppose thats whats has happened, they've more away from the English definition of the word and now use their own American definition which as it turns out is something different, And I might be sounding a bit derogative here myself but the American version has lost alot of the real meaning, and therefore lost some of its 'intelligence'.

@Tomas

Maybe they'll end up being able to also accurately describe their own illegal activities eventually you mean?

Disclaimer; I don't think the foxnews site is too bad compared to the other news orgs like CNN and (the shifty) BBC.

For clarity I'll add that I've been called a 'socialist' by americans (they actually think that's an insult it seems, quite perplexing when you first run into that).

I've disassociated with those idiots.

the feds are taking a good, long hard look at them and that if you have any connection to them, to get away ASAP.

Seriously. It's a matter of time before those people go away permanently.

Or,... more accurately,..

Fox (while being up to their necks in illegal activity), never seem to accurately describe Anonymous or their activities.

Why "Fox bashing" is fun *and* justified

Many reason,s of course, but here are a few:
1. Fox has a track record of telling lies and calling them news. Fox is the only "news" network to ever go to court in order to affirm their right to report lies as news (see http://www.librarygrape.com/2009/06/court-fox-news-has-first-amendment.html ).
2. Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, easily the most corrupt and evil man in the West today; all the corruption within News Corp flows from the top down (much like any other form of sewage).
3. Fox News is the propaganda arm of the Republican Party, trusted only by unthinking, ignorant rednecks. See http://www.disinfo.com/2011/07/roger-ailes-secret-nixon-era-blueprint-for-fox-news/

Shall I go on?

meh!

Firstly - Anonymous.. by there own description it is a decentralized online community, with no head man, no one in charge and anyone can be a member.

So when the media comes back saying that they have 'Anonymous' hackers, really doesnt help much. Technically people from a company could deface there own website, leave a message saying it was done by members of Anonymous and they wouldnt be lying if one or more had been to a gathering. So lets stop with the grand uninformative sweeping statements can we and lets have some facts.

Also (not just picking on the good people of America here) does anyone REALLY think there are any REAL differences between so-called left and right these days?
Western economies are crumbling due to the coruption and complete incompetence of 'our' 'politicians' too busy pandering to those who line their pockets instead of doing what is needed and what is just, fair and honest.
And yet whenever anyone points out that the system in general and those who report on it are a bunch of lazy self-centred #8%$'s.
We get drivel of stupid retarded arguements defending these muppets.. really.. are you really THAT uninformed?

This left, right arguement is stupid, as it doesnt even mean anything these days, the right comes in and increases the power and size of government the left get in and its tax cuts for the ultra rich, they both look like they are singing from the same song sheet to me. And the only the thing people like you and I are getting, is royally shafted!

Honestly is drives me crazy that most people dont even seem to be aware of this. The whole thing reminds me of a futurama episode, where there is a presidental debate going on between two clone -
John Jackson: "I say your three cent titanium tax goes too far."
Jack Johnson: "And I say your three cent titanium tax doesn't go too far enough."

And yet (using the above as a metaphor) comment after comment on why john is better than jack, or jack is better than john.

FoxNews the new......

I wish FoxNews would just fess up. They were caught red handed. They finally got the leader of Anonymous, it was no other then RUPERT MURDOCK and his henchwoman and henchman.

Wait, I'm confused...

So, a local Fox affiliate (Fox 2 Detroit) accurately runs a story about three anonymous suspects being arrested. And the inquirer sees that as a reason to run a piece bashing FOX NEWS (the network)?

How is that related?

FOX News 'Hackers are terrorists, except when we do it

FOX would have you believe hackers are terrorists , except when they are caught red handed doing it themselves, but for selfish reasons.

What?

Your bias is laughable. Sounds like you had some buddy lose their lap top. Oops, could it be your sympathies are with the bad guys and you simply can't bring yourself to see FOX as the antidote to MSNBC. It would be easy to throw some adjectives in to describe the pathetic writing style of you and your kindred spirits on the left, but I will leave that to comedians. You are funny.
