We're testing Office 365 on Mac and Linux

Testing times for the choosy communicator

BROWSER-BASED office productivity suite Microsoft Office 365 is currently being put through the wringer by V3.co.uk in its mysterious labs.

The web site has been peeking at the cloudy Microsoft suite for a couple of weeks now and in its latest studies has tried accessing its test account on an Apple Imac and a PC running Ubuntu Linux with a version of Firefox.

Sound like fun? Well, it was 'encouraging' according to the merry tester, who had a pretty decent experience with the non-Microsoft operating systems. At least until he started trying out Lync, Microsoft's messaging and telephony tool on the Mac. µ
