FLOGGER OF EXPENSIVE PRINTER INK HP has given The INQUIRER an exclusive early look at HP's Touchpad tablet and Pre 3 smartphone.

HP's Touchpad is set to be released later today, however HP allowed The INQUIRER to play around with the tablet it hopes will take the fight, not necessarily to Apple, but the Research in Motion (RIM) Playbook. We were also allowed to have a go with a pre-production HP Pre 3 smartphone, which also had the full release version of HP's WebOS 3.

HP was particularly keen to point out that its Touchpad is a better option for businesses, with built in encryption, the ability for enterprises to create their own application stores and the ability to remotely wipe the device. HP confirmed that the price of the Touchpad will be £399 for the 16GB version and £479 for the 32GB unit.

From our early impressions, the Touchpad and the Pre 3 seem to provide the hardware that the wonderful WebOS deserves. Even with just two or three minutes experience and holding a camera, we were able to learn how to navigate through WebOS.

HP admitted to The INQUIRER that it was "very late" getting into the business, however the Touchpad seems like a solid effort. Features such as Touch to Sync, which is demonstrated in another video, is very impressive and showcases some of the glitz that surrounds WebOS.

We look forward to bringing you more indepth reviews of HP's Touchpad and Pre 3 soon. µ

Need a proper review...

Wake me up when there's a proper review being done. Sadly, as mentioned by the original commenter, the reviewer was not at all acquainted with webOS...

Nothing New Here

It's clear that you are not familiar with WebOS. It is not helpful to watch you flick the screen and do nothing.
