Appsbuilder launches an all in one apps builder

Develop for Apple and Android in one go
Tue May 24 2011, 16:29

SOFTWARE MAKER Appsbuilder has launched the full version of its application development software that produces native apps for IOS and Android in one process.

Appsbuilder aims to solve the problem of developing for different apps markets. It does this by spitting out a native app for devices running IOS or Android without having to develop for each one separately.

It also claims to be able to convert any web site into a mobile application. It currently supports apps for IOS and Android, but Appsbuilder has told us that Windows will be added soon.

The software is available to anyone and free to download and use. It is completely free to publish your app if you agree to have an advertising banner within it hosted by Appsbuilder.

If you don't want to have adverts clutter up your carefully crafted app then you can pay a fee of €190 a year. This fee will also gain you support that isn't available to non-paying users.

Appsbuilder also has a plug-in for the blogging tool Wordpress that "enables bloggers and site administrators to convert their contents into native applications". So you can publish to the Apple Store and Android Market without having to do more coding or incur additional costs. µ

Moar

There is another one called Illumination Software Creator by Radical Breeze. I'm pretty sure that it's cheaper but I don't think there is a free/advert version.

Anyone want to take bets on how long until Apple outlaws apps built with Appsbuilder?
