OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE HOUSE Mozilla has launched its beta version of Firefox for Android, and it will include a no tracking privacy feature.
The Firefox beta for Android smartphones is available to download now from the Android market and has a new switch in the privacy and security settings called "Tell sites not to track me". Mozilla claims that this makes it "the first mobile Web browser to offer the Do Not Track privacy feature".

The switch to opt out of web site tracking is a simple yes or no switch that, if switched on, means that your phone will send a signal out to say that you don't want to be tracked. This applies when Firefox loads any web site, image or advertisement.
Mozilla is keeping consistent with its no tracking feature that is also on the desktop version of Firefox, which was introduced give users more control over how their behaviour on the internet is tracked and used online.
With no tracking switched on, online annoyances such as advertising won't be specifically targeted to you based upon your browsing history and behaviour.
Other improvements to the browser include some bug fixes and speed improvements, especially over a 3G connection. Mozilla claims that smoother panning and CSS3 animations also come with the beta. µ
