THE PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALLER Wayne Rooney did not pick a fight with one of his Twitter followers, regardless of how much it looks like he did.
Rooney, who is something of a hitman on the field and only really started using Twitter recently, responded to a critical comment on his social notworking account, @Waynerooney, from an Oldham fan with the following missive, "haha u know were I train every day kid come and do it good luck."
And then, "I'll put u asleep within 10 seconds u little girl. Don't say stuff and not follow up on it. I'll be waiting."
It might have been the case that Rooney was merely making the friendly suggestion that he read a few chapters of his autobiography to the Twitterer and he could have left it like that. Instead, he did whatever the opposite of gilding the Lilly is, adding, "I will put u asleep within 10 seconds hope u turn up if u don't gonna tell everyone ur scared u little nit. I'll be waiting." To which we can only say, "Touche!"
Then someone, maybe Rooney's agent, must have woken up and suggested that perhaps it was time to call an end to the unfortunate proceedings, as shortly afterwards the striker added, "Haha bit of banter and people go nuts chill all people."
The Oldham fan's account has since been deleted. µ

Maybe it's time for twitter to put a EULA that you agree twitter is not too serious and you are not allowed to use it to sue people or link comments made in any way to their job. Especially in britain.
It's like having a freaking chinese minder up your ass 23/7 how people just sit reading twitter to call the cops or their employer, and have that actually work..
And to any parent, if you read they finally made a machine that is able to read your thoughts make sure you put your kids to sleep - permanently, so they won't have to live in the world that inevitably will follow from that, it's a freaking nightmare how such things are handled.
do some research idiot, olham fan my a@~e,you dont even have to get off your seat to get this one right and you failed, get off the internet dope.
I'm on Twitter and seen this as it unfolded. Although i'm a Liverpool fan i will stick up for Rooney. He has done nothing wrong, the person is trying to provoke him and he put that person in there place so what! Just as Someone was given Coleen a hard time on Twitter why do people feel the need to try and get involved in the life's of these people.
Wazza done nothing wrong just deal way it!
