The G-7 oligarchs are exporting jobs to third world countries faster than free guns at a prison break - A reader
HANDBAG SIZED E-READERS have turned older women into book thieves, according to a report.
The ladies who lunch mafia has embraced digital books, by all accounts, but has also flirted with their seedy underclass - the downloaded, dare we say stolen, alternative.
One in eight women over 35 who own such devices admits to having downloaded an unlicensed e-book, by comparison just one in 20 said the same about downloading music.
The findings come from the Digital Entertainment Survey, an annual study of consumer behaviour online by the law firm Wiggin.
Overall it found that tablet and e-reader owners were more likely to flirt with the criminal underclass.
Around 30 per cent of device owners of all ages admitted some form of so-called 'piracy', while for tablets the number increased to 36 per cent. µ

wondering if "we are above laws" mafia will send hitmans to "suspected illegal downloaders" soon???
It would appear that it's now every person, in any walk of life that is/has/would pirate something, be it music, movies or books. MAFFIA and the other copyright organisations can't and won't stop it unless they remove the basic human right to privacy from the interwebs.
Our government should be actively looking into ways that internet users pay an annual flat (maybe tiered depending on usage) fee and they can just crack on and download what they like.
That would stop stupid bills getting passed by governments that grants some random movie/music studio access to my entire online history because I downloaded a track from a torrent site.
