ANGRY SONY USERS and INQUIRER readers have been reacting to the dreadful service outage at the gaming firm that has lasted for almost a month.
The Sony PSN outage has created many emotions among our readers, few positive, many angry, some meandering, and more than a fistful, very very critical. We pulled them together in a poll.
The second smallest minority of respondents, 16 per cent, said, "I love my Playstation, so I'll wait for Sony to fix it". This just beat out those people who said that they would switch to the Microsoft Xbox as an alternative. That option won 12 per cent of reader clicks.
Almost a third, 31 per cent of those people happy to answer a poll about how the Sony outage had affected them do not use the services anyway, and 20 per cent said that they would prefer their answer to remain 'Anonymous'.
Perhaps most surprising is the fact that just a fifth, 21 per cent, were after some sort of compensation from Sony for putting their credit card data at risk. This seems very low in a society where people will sue if their coffee is too hot, but then there is no accounting for people.
Nor is there any accounting for predicting how they will react to the loss of data belonging to them and 100 million of their peers. µ

THANKS TO THE CROOK WHO NOTICED I LEFT MY CAR DOOR UNLOCKED LAST NIGHT AND WHO TOOK THE LIBERTY TO RIFLE THROUGH MY CAR AND GLOVE COMPARTMENT IN SEARCH OF ANYTHING OF VALUE AND FOR LEAVING SAID GLOVE COMPARTMENT AND DOOR WIDE OPEN AS A REMINDER OF HOW LAX MY SECURITY SYSTEMS ARE BEING MAINTAINED.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR FOR THE MESSAGE YOU GAVE TO ME.
(BUT ON THE OTHER HAND YOU FRIGGING SON OF A BITCH, I VIDEOD YOUR ESCAPADE WITH A USB CAMERA AND SAID VIDEO IS NOW IN THE POSSESSION OF THE COPS. HOPE YOU ENJOY JAIL, ASSHOLE!)
Actually, if anything you should be thanking the hackers that stole your personal data... i think they have effectively shown how poor Sony is at keeping your information secure.
If you entrust a small child with a priceless vase and they break it, who's at fault?
If there is any sense in the world, Sony should get penalised 'big time' for allowing this situation to arise in the first place with the money they charge the end consumer for their products. Ultimately Sony will be at the mercy of the very consumers they have not protected... vote with your wallet people.
I will also add I am a PS3 owner and have used the PSN, not a particularly happy chappy right now with Sony.
If you're pissed off about the loss of the Sony network and your personal data being stolen, thank a hacker... or better yet help convict the hackers who attacked Sony and you.
