TAIWANESE SMARTPHONE MAKER HTC's Sensation will tip up on UK shelves on 19 May.
The now anticipated Sensation, which HTC has dubbed a "superphone", was announced by HTC almost a month ago, and Vodafone will be the first carrier to sell the smartphone. You will be able to get the Sensation for free at Vodafone on a £35 per month contract.
Three currently has the Sensation on its coming soon page with an estimated date of June.

The latest handset from HTC, which has recently announced impressive financial results, has a Snapdragon 1.2Ghz dual core processor with 768MB of RAM, 1GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera.
It's HTC's first dual core smartphone so it is sure to cause a stir in the market, but it will have to compete against some big handsets like the LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
One feature is the latest Android user interface overlay for Android, which this time offers widgets on the lock screen. A video store is another additional extra that allows users to download or rent films. There's no HDMI port but the phone can apparently send HDMI through its USB port.
The phone has a large 4.3-in SLCD panel with 960x540 resolution, which apparently has 35 per cent more pixels than some of its competitors. The screen also has the proper 16:9 aspect ratio for displaying HD video content. µ

It's a better phone then the iPhone 4 or any of the Motorola droid series but it's still not quite as good as the Galaxy S II. Sure it's got a higher res screen but personally I'd say the advantages of the super AMOLED plus on the S II beats the extra resolution.
@Maddog
Good choice. Not only are you gonna get advantages of screen but more ram, more built-in storage and a bigger battery.
@Dave
Going back to Sony Ericsson won't help you assuming you're planning on getting one of their smartphones. As of March last year they've gone to Android. Not to mention everything they got coming out anytime soon is inferior to even the droid bionic.
tons of help & apps here... dont be lazy...

I bet the battery wont even last a day as with my HTC Wildfire it's alright making a dual core phone but consumers also want batteries to last and you cant have it both ways.
Wish I knew a program for my Wildifre to auto stop programs like Facebook and others when they've been left not used for a while. think I may go back to Sony Ericcsson for my next phone not sure yet
Would love this phone, but with a locked bootloader & little chance of using developer ROMs I will wait for the Samsung Galaxy S II.
