MOBILE OPERATOR Three has posted, and then swiftly removed, a page holder for the white Iphone 4 that suggested it might go on sale Wednesday, 20 April.
The page was spotted by the unofficial Apple weblog website, and it screengrabbed that before it disappeared. Yet despite photographic evidence existing, Three's PR machine was unable to say anything else about it. "We have no information on that at the moment," we were told.
The website though, or at least the screengrab, tells a different story. For example Three has already decided on a 24 month contract with all you can eat data, 500 texts and 200 minutes of talk time.
Three has also forgotten that it had set its sights on charging people £35 a month and a one off and upfront £159.
Apple would not comment on the Three page, and only repeated earlier statements that the white Iphone would be released this Spring.
The INQUIRER has checked outside and can confirm that it is now Spring, so perhaps the white Iphone is finally upon us. µ

This was on the three website for days - it was only pulled after someone pointed it out on the other plaice.
