STORAGE MAKER Seagate has launched its latest 320GB external Goflex Slim hard drive.
Last night The INQUIRER attended Seagate’s launch in London for the Goflex external hard drive. The Goflex Slim 2.5-inch external hard drive is a mere 9mm thick, designed to be as thin, light and portable as possible to accompany your laptop or netbook.
According to Seagate the portable hard drive is the width of a pencil, making it 38 per cent leaner than the firm's current Goflex hard drive.
The ultra-thin external hard drive, which was first showcased at CES in January, is a 7200RPM model equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity that is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. The Goflex Slim hard drive supports the Windows and Mac operating systems and can interchange between them without the need to reformat the drive.
Backup software is included with the drive that provides automatic and continuous backup and encrypts data.
The Seagate 320GB external Goflex Slim hard drive is available now online and in stores, priced at £79.99. µ
