Three will offer the Samsung Galaxy Mini and Pro

In stores and online next month

MOBILE OPERATOR Three announced today that it will carry Samsung's Galaxy Mini and Galaxy Pro smartphones starting next month.

The Galaxy Mini is Samsung's budget Android smartphone running on a 600MHz processor. It has a 3.14-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320x240 resolution. It runs Android 2.2 Froyo and has an uninspiring 3MP camera.

The Galaxy Pro is a better smartphone and has an 800MHz processor. It has a 2.8-inch touchscreen with 320x240 resolution and features a full Qwerty keyboard. But like the Mini it disappointingly also comes with Android 2.2 Froyo and only a 3MP camera.

Three said that both devices will be on pay as you go and contract but prices are still to be confirmed. Three has not said whether it will update these handsets to Android Gingerbread in the future.

Samsung's Social Hub Premium will be included free with the Galaxy Pro. That's a social notworking feature designed to let you manage your social life from one place. For a closer look at the Galaxy Pro see the video below. µ

I'm with Three and have been for years. They're one of the lower cost providers that rip you off less than the other networks.

However, this guy makes me cringe whenever I watch him. Is it the accent or is he as camp as a row of pink tents?

Also - how does "having all your social network tools in one place" save you battery? I bet it makes absolutely squat difference. Nice moral compass there Three - make spurious claims about social networking saving battery.

My HTC DHD should have "built in battery saving technology in the form of social networking" aswell then, seeing how they run the same OS.
