FORMER JOBS' MOB manager Paul Devine could face 20 years porridge after admitting that he supplemented his income with kick backs from Asian suppliers.

Devine, was the global supply manager at Apple and passed confidential information to help suppliers negotiate favorable contracts with Apple.

His antics were revealed when Apple's black shirted security bods read a number of emails between Devine and the suppliers. They fired him and started a civil suit. US prosecutors then obtained an indictment on 23 counts in August.

According to Reuters, Devine pleaded guilty on Monday to wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. He also agreed to forfeit about $2.28 million in money and property which he collected from the deals.

Raphael Goldman, who is Devine's lawyer, said that his client was a good man who made a mistake, and now he's trying to make amends.

Sentencing is scheduled for 6 June. Devine faces a maximum prison term of 20 years on the wire fraud and money laundering counts.

Apple said it had "zero tolerance" for dishonest behaviour inside or outside the company.

Everyone knows that if you tell a lie your nose grows longer, and Apple staff never tell lies ever, a company spokesman refused to say. µ

Irony?

20 years for exploiting your position to make some extra dosh in a company that exploits its position to make some extra dosh every second in ever new ways.
I hope they keep it real and make it 6 months or something.
