Booths, and a booth babe

THE RSA EXPO began as a conference for sharing ideas, but there's also an exhibition these days, which generates enough funds to cover the actual speeches. Here are some pictures.

All the big names in the industry are here with stands. Intel's was one of the biggest.

rsa-intel-boothHowever there are some stands that wouldn't have been seen here a few years ago. The National Security Agency (NSA) was so secretive that up until around 20 years ago we weren't supposed to know it existed. The government hackers and crackers were here in force however.

rsa-nsa-boothEven more surprising was seeing who was checking out the inside of the stand - crypto legend Whitfield Diffie (far right).

rsa-whitfield-diffiePart of the purpose of a stand is to inform and educate, although this session with McAfee seemed to inspire very few people.

rsa-mcafee-boothMeanwhile Microsoft was offering a chance to try out its Kinect gaming system at the booth.
