FINLAND is definitely getting the Nokia E7 mobile phone this week but for other markets including the UK it is all a bit vague right now and that's official.
While Nokia in Finland was able to eventually confirm that the much delayed slider handset will be on sale in its home country, the phone maker's UK public relations arm was not so sure. While the Nokia E7 is shipping this week, Nokia UK was not able to tell The INQUIRER if Blighty will also be blessed with its arrival.
Announced as far back as September 2010 at Nokia World and originally expected in the December, the Nokia E7 handset has a 4-inch AMOLED 640x360 capacitive touchscreen, an anodised aluminium chassis and an 8MP camera with a dual LED flash. The camera can record HD 720p video and a second VGA front facing camera can be used for video calls.
The Nokia E7's operating system is Symbian^3 and it has 16GB of internal storage, a g-sensor, a compass, a proximity sensor and an ambient light detector. It has 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and its ports include HDMI, microUSB 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Former Nokia mobile solutions VP Anssi Vanjoki said of the E7's Clearblack display technology at Nokia World, "its black is blacker than black." Great line, but he has long since left the company. µ
...are intent on repeatedly shafting themselves.
When was this announced? I remember I was looking to upgrade a couple of months ago and saw this, took a HTC desire HD instead.
I highly doubt I missed anything.
