THE BOLIVIAN GOVERNMENT is so miffed at what the US government has been saying about it in diplomatic cables, it has decided to host some of the Wikileaks cables itself.
The leaked cables are being shown on Vice President Alvaro Garcia Linera of the State of Bolivia's own website .
According to Linera's website the use of the official website was approved by both the Bolivian President and the Presidency of Legislative Assembly Multinational.
Linera said that is important that people know the level of infiltration, intervention, conspiracy and espionage by the US on Bolivia.
The cables prove that US diplomats have been spying on Bolivia for at least two years.
The quality of the information that has been flowing back to the US was total rubbish with most of the intelligence being based on gossip, rumours and assumptions, Linera said.
There is a lot of bad blood between the Bolivian government and the US. Bolivia expelled the US ambassador in 2008, accusing him of conspiring against it. µ
Come on, people! As an American, I am neither shocked nor surprised that the CIA spies on Bolivia. Nor would I be surprised if Bolivia spies on the USA, or Brasil, or Monaco. Nor if Monaco spies on the UK, France, and Switzerland.
That's what governments do, after all.

I just read that the Spanish were confident that they could ride out the CIA torture flights stopping off in Mallorca. However they did flag up that it might be a bit more difficult to stop a high court request made by a private citizen, but they would see what they could do!
And it went on about how keeping up a united front against Iran's nuclear weapon's programme was a good idea, and that keeping Syria at arm's length was part of that lest Syria try to use a dividing wedge between the alliance.
Overall it was what I would have guessed was going on, politicians trying to hush up their missdealings and illegal activities.
But if we get enough of these read by all of us then we can start to form a plan, new leadership etc.
And as the animals looked from pig to pig, they could see the pigs changing. The pigs looked like their old masters, the people. Paraphrasing 1984.
Twas ever thus.
Great band? :P
No really, while i don't want to make it look like i agree, he is actually talking about the point.
The status quo.
It's a very important phrase when it comes to the state of the planet, and as suggested has been like this, not for years, or decades, or even hundreds, it's more like a few thousand years.
It's practically on the clock.
Who do you think put it to 0 ?
How far back is past that is anyone's guess it seems.
And as suggested, wiki leaks will not change the status quo, infact the people in charge of the status probably find it quite humerous, since all inc the US gov are their pawns.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
So what youa are saying is, is that the situation as it stands is OK with you ?
Everyone is doing it, so that makes it OK?
Apparently pivacy is an illusion, get used to it.
Not so nice when a government finds out that there is no privacy, makes us all squirm a little. No-one really likes to see how the sausage is made (apart from sausge makers and officionados).
Not saying this is the best way of making goverments more accountable, but it does grab your attention....

"Wikileaks is the catalyst of what might be the best chance to bring peace, justice and democracy to the world--the whole world--instead of the few presently running it--by facilitating transparency."
DO you truly believe in that? Do you really think this Wikileaks imbroglio will change the status quo? And even if it did, do you think any coutry(ies) that could overthrow the US will act any better? If you do you are being very naive. Humankind has been like this since history has been written. It just changes the name of the one in power: Egypt, Assiria, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Mongols, English, French, Russians, Japanese, Americans. All have been/are in power and did the same, the next one will just follow the same path.

,,,the way for other nations to follow, in not bending over complictly for the screwing that is sure to come.
Just wait as other nations also grow a spine and take the offensive against the empire, in their own self interests.
The cat is out of the bag, the horse has left the barn, and the empire has been shown naked--enjoy the view.

I urge all to support Wikileaks in whatever manner one can afford--whether it be from the donation of money, the writing of letters and emails of support, or the mirroring of the Wikileaks website to prevent its shuttering by the forces of greed.
It is not only the best chance to turn things around since Ellsberg's release of the Pentagon Papers, given the way things are going, it might be the last chance we have...ever.
If Wikileaks is silenced, we are toast.
