INTERNET SEARCH OUTFIT Google has come up with a batch of add-ons to its Chrome web browser that are designed to make watching Youtube clips more like the movies.
According to the outfit's blog, Google has released Youtube Feed, which notifies you whenever new videos are available in your Youtube homepage feed.
It means that you can directly access videos that your friends upload, rate and 'like' them right in the web browser.
Window Expander for Youtube maxes Youtube videos to fill your entire browser window and Turn Off the Lights can make the entire page outside the video fade to dark like you're in a movie theater.
All you need after that is an application that has a basketball player sit down in front of you, plus an MP3 of noisy bored kids talking over the soundtrack and your movie theatre like experience will complete.
Of course we are talking Youtube clips here. The day that I go to a theatre to watch a movie of someone's cat playing the piano will also be the day that I watch Twilight on my newly purchased Iphone 4.
Youtube content is hardly movie standard quality, so why would I want to mimic something that is better recreated by watching my aunt's home videos of uncle Albert backing out his caravan? µ
