FRUIT THEMED CARGO CULT Apple has lately been telling the world plus dog that it is about to release IOS 4.2 for the Iphone, Ipad and Ipod Touch.
Besides showing off pictures, it seems that the IOS Dev Center has confirmed that developers can now submit IOS 4.2 apps, in anticipation that the software update is about to hit Idevices.
Apple has released IOS 4.2 Build 8C134 for the Iphone, the Ipad and the Ipod Touch, and word on the street is that the update should be delivered to Ithings everywhere by the end of the month.
The first thing anyone will notice in the Ipad is the availability of IOS Folders, alongside a variety of features that previously were only available on the Iphone.
There are some multitasking features including the incorporation of the software orientation lock and music playback controls in their new and updated forms.
It seems that Steve Jobs was impressed with the Microsoft Xbox Live Marketplace as his Game Centre looks very similar to it. No doubt Apple fanbois will be telling us that Jobs invented it long before the Xbox Live was ever created. Still it will be nice for them to be able to download games, set matches online and upload their scores, like Microsoft gamers have been able to do for a while. µ
You are a fucking muppet.
Nick (Red Ring of Death) Farrell sally against all things Apple-iscious.
My guess is that he is a poor confused little boy who got himself spanked by someone wearing a snappy little Apple and latex bodysuit. Ah well...
He didn't bash apple, just apple fanbois. You know, like you.
Game Center is for handhelds. How about comparing it to another handheld gaming device. Xbox Live also costs money. In your haste to bash Apple you left out some key comparisons.
It seems to be the theme with the inquirer. No real story just trying to find away to take a jab at Apple.
"No doubt Apple fanbois will be telling us that Jobs invented it long before the Xbox Live was ever created."
Whoever said that?
Apparently the IOS 4.2 release requires you to install the latest iTunes BETA or else you won't have any of your music on the device.
