Sony Readers video demo

Shame there's no wireless for UK versions
Thu Sep 09 2010, 17:10

SONY'S READER POCKET Edition PRS-350 and Reader Touch Edition PRS-650 can be seen demonstrated in the video above. Announced last week during IFA 2010 there is a third product called Reader Daily Edition PRS-950. The PRS-950 is only US-bound for now but actually sounds more interesting than the others. It's the most web-enabled and switched-on of the Sony Readers with WiFi and 3G support plus a basic web browsing capability. From 17 September the Pocket is on sale for £159 and the Touch for £199. For further details on the PRS-350 and PRS-650 watch the video above. µ

New version?

Are you sure this is the new version? It looks slower than my Kindle 3, and also a lot more clumsy because of its thickness.

His definition of backwards and forwards is the exact opposite of mine.

You read forward, going to the back of the book, so scrolling to the next page to read would count as forward, even though you're going to the back of the book.

Sorry, I'm anal.

Buy Sony? Never!

After all that Sony has done -- rootkits,
retroactive license violations, and more -- there's NO WAY I'm ever going to buy
a Sony product again.

FWIW.

Do you think the move was justified?
