Keep up with the latest tech from IFA 2010

The INQUIRER expects tablets in Berlin
Tue Aug 31 2010, 18:55

ITS NOT JUST KNACKWURST in Berlin this week with the opening of the consumer electronics trade show IFA 2010 that could see a tidal wave of tablets.

The INQUIRER will be there to write up and shoot video of the latest tech with new tablets, e-readers, 3D televisions and assorted mobile devices expected from the likes of Samsung, Toshiba, Philips, Archos and more.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated will be Samsung's 7-inch screen Galaxy Tab tablet, which is being talked about as a competitor to Apple's all dominant Ipad or as the killer of the rumoured mini Ipad that could be announced tomorrow in the US. However, it is more likely it is this side of the Atlantic that will see the next volley of shots fired in a growing worldwide tablet struggle. A struggle that will see many players with Viewsonic and Taiwan's Hannspree's already having announced tablets, followed by the Panasonic, Sony, LG, Toshiba and Philips that are expected to tip up in this capital city of Mitteleuropa.

The INQUIRER will also be getting a briefing from AMD on its Vision and Fusion and Eyefinity branding and technology, following on from Monday's revelation that the ATI marque is being dumped by AMD. µ
