HTC Desire will be an Ace in the UK

Time will tell if it is spades or hearts

TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's Desire handset has popped up briefly on the UK Amazon website before it was hurriedly taken down.

Punters might not have recognised it because it now sports a new moniker as the HTC Ace.

The high-end Android powered HTC Ace has a 4.3-inch screen like the HTC Evo 4G and will be the GSM version of Evo 4G.

The item model number in the UK of the HTC Desire, er, Ace is 99HLZ00100, just in case you want to pre-order one if it ever shows up on Amazon again.

The good thing about this leak was that it showed the price, which will be £415. That works out to $614 for those of you across the pond. µ

Evo

You meant UK version of Evo?
It's funny you got it right in the article mentioning Evo, but wrong in the title

Good to see..

Good to see it's not much (any?) more expensive than the current Desire :)

Wrong name

They mean the 'Desire HD' - the Desire has obviously been around for ages in the UK.

Err... Desire?

Are you sure you have this right? The Desire has a 3.7" screen, not a 4.3"...

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
