BIG GAMER EVENT Gamescom 2010 in Cologne, Germany has been Microsoft's venue for announcing its Windows Phone 7 games that it thinks will set it apart from its competitors.
The video games will be available for Windows Phone 7 at launch or shortly after with 50 titles that are a mix of new and old. The choices are designed to target casual and hardcore gamers. The games include Bejeweled, Uno, Game Chest and a collection of card and board games.
The Vole also announced that its Windows Phone 7 games will be linked to Xbox LIVE. There seems to be an indication of a tie in between the games console and the phone. This includes games like CarneyVale: Showtime, which will be ready to play this fall when the phone launches.
Microsoft indicated that it is marketing the launch of the Windows Phone 7 games more like it would a games console. Which is fair enough as it has done rather well at that, rather than like its phones where it has been pretty pants. µ
