Orange rows back from White Iphone 4 end of year admission

ROWING BACK from an email it sent saying the white Iphone 4 would not be available until the end of 2010, Orange has told The INQUIRER it should arrive "later this year," presumably before 31 December.

The network operator sent the end of year availability email to those registered for further Iphone 4 information. During the supply debacle that was the launch of the Iphone 4 in June the white model was initially delayed by Apple until mid-July and then in late July that was pushed back to an unspecified "later date".

"The email was sent to customers who have registered an interest in the Iphone. To clarify that we are now stating that it will be available later this year," said Orange.

Apple might also want to take the time to correct the Iphone 4, or flaw, because of the antenna design fault, discoloured screen issues and dodgy proximity sensor. Or it could just bundle in a rubber band. µ
