MOBILE PHONE NETWORK OPERATOR T-Mobile has started taking online orders for the somewhat broken Iphone 4 in Blighty and, as you would expect, the prices are reassuringly expensive.
Those who want a mobile phone that does not work when held in the left hand or that has to be held in a specific way to make phone calls are in luck. They will get an Iphone 4 that will do those things and they will be stuck with it for two years.
All contracts are 24 months long and monthly costs start at £25 per month with the 16GB model costing £279 up front.
The cheapest way to pick up the 16GB Iphone 4 on T-Mobile is free, but you'll have to pay out £60/month.
Cheaper still is to remind an Apple fanboi that he is still a virgin and steal his phone while he is crying. We would recommend turning off the phone until you can jailbreak it, otherwise the GPS will track you down.
The cheapest price for the 32GB Iphone 4 is £49 on the £60 per month plan and that goes all the way up to £329 on the £25 per month plan.
That is not the only price hurdle you can expect. T-Mobile has cut back on its data bandwidth allowances. On most plans you will be able to download only 500MB a month before you will get hit by more charges.
It is not clear if you will get the 10p rubber band fix for the Iphone 4 along with the deal.
The only version available is black. The white model is scheduled to arrive when T-Mobile gets deliveries of Duke Nukem Forever. µ

I don't have any other Apple products (yet), and I got the iPhone 4 on an impulse (my local Tesco had some stock on launch day). So not a fanboy, just a regular punter with some cash in my pocket.
I would easily say the iPhone 4 is the single best gadget I've owned. Connects to MS Exchange 2010 seamlessly with over the air push mail, and remote wipe support. Enterprise WiFi connected first time, whereas others here with Android phones are still struggling to connect.
I bought a bumper in the first few days, not because of signal loss, but I thought the phone felt too delicate to hold comfortably. I now have my refund for that £25 case, and I've ordered a 2nd free case thanks to Apple being pressured into fixing a non-issue (at least for me).
The guy who writes these needs to grow up. Seriously? You sound like a jealous little boy who has just had his lolly pop taken away from him. You obviously do not have a degree is what ever it is you think your good at, Whether it be journalism or English writing or more seemingly so, Reviews. This website would increase in popularity no end if you didn't waste web pages with this dribble. Get a life, Grow up and get a job your good at, I hear ASDA are taking cleaners on, Start there. Then you can share your opinions with the toilet you'll be cleaning.
My iPhone 4 has a great signal, even with the death grip. unless... unless I travel to a low signal area then it's dirt simple to make it drop and lose connection. So those that say they have no problems need to shut up and realize how lucky they are to be in a strong signal area. Blabbing about no problems shows you have zero brains.
Why is the iPhone cap up to 1 gig on the most expensive packages when the same operator gives me a 3 gig a month cap for my Android handset?
Regardless of whether or not you like the iPhone (For me it's very close between that and the HTC phones, but the Desire was available when my time to upgrade rolled around and the iPhone wasn't) surely this is something that a good journalist would investigate?
Oh wait, forgot. Inq doesn't do good journalism.
But you can reverse them:
Good to know Fanboys are impartial :/ you blatantly don't like the people saying nasty things about the iPhone, maybe Web II comments should be written by people whom can state the facts and now a misinformed opinion. Every iPhone 4 suffers those problems, i can have to suffer all day with signal loss.
All this media coverage about iPhone 4 being broken, is absolutely true. Mine gets a terrible signal than my Nokia N96, with the same operator. You fanboys need a Death grip to wake up and stop mis-leading.
Poor journalism and inciting a crime, I've read better things on the back of a packet of crisps.
Good to know The Inquirer are impartial :/ you blatantly don't like the iphone 4, maybe news should be written by people whom can state the facts and now a misinformed opinion. My iPhone 4 doesnt suffer those problems, i can call all the live long day with no signal loss.
All this media coverage about iPhone 4 being broken, is Bull. Mine gets a better signal than my Nokia N96, with the same operator. Even with a Death grip, you reporters need a Death grip to wake up and stop mis-leading.
Lets hope that 3 and T-mobile don’t face the same problems that Apple iOS has caused other UK consumers and their recently reported roaming costs.
It is another setback once again for Apple it will be interesting to see what's next in the news regarding iPhone issues (antenna, manufacturing and now service charges) and their
Apples steps to refund cases won’t make up for the iPhone 4's lack of function over form.
It's a shame to see so many issues with the iPhone 4 after so many people waited for it's release. What's more of a shame is that it seems Apple knew about some of these issues already, such as the problem with reception.
But Apple have created such a loyal following that people may just put up with what issues there are for the sake of owning the latest Apple product.
Personally, I'd be happier with an older iPhone - at least then the issues are all ironed out.
However, it's also interesting to see how much excitement new technologies can bring. New technology and innovation is important for new business, illustrated by entrepreneurship grants and new business competitions like http://www.ukesnc.com.
Guess it's not all bad!
