Apple fixes broken Itunes software

Improving perfection
Tue Jul 20 2010, 13:39

RELUCTANT SHINY GADGET REPAIRMAN Steve Jobs has fixed his broken Itunes software so that it can work with his Iphone 4, which is also so busted it needs a rubber band to work.

The software update provided also brings a fix for Iphones and Ipod Touch products facing problems with Jobs's flawed IOS 4.0 update.

The update effectively purges Itunes of third party plugins that are installed by people who are thinking different and want to add more features to the king of musical stovepipes.

The update gives Apple total control of the Itunes software and prevents users doing want they want. People who did not like the fact that Steve Jobs dictated what their software could do, frequently turned to plugins like Scrobblepod and Bytecontroller to give them the features Jobs said they could not have.

In the past third party media players have been available and Apple axed some of those after it discovered, for example, that Palm Pre's Media Sync gave rival hardware users access to Job's walled garden of delights.

Other 'bug fixes' address problems with dragging and dropping items and performance issues when first syncing to some devices. The update fixes some of the upgrading problems on IOS 4 on an Iphone or Ipod Touch with encrypted back-ups, too. Other patches are supposed to fix Itunes' stability and performance issues.

The Itunes software also had a problem working with Ibooks 1.1.1 even though it was made by the same genius company. µ

This is journalism?

How do you equate Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, to "Reluctant Shiny Gadget Repairman?". I'm no fan boy, and I can see how the terms "Reluctant" and "Shiny Gadget" apply. But "Repairman"? Do any of the staff editing this piece even think analytically? Really? Anything to increase readership ... even gossip?!

@bonestorm

You were never here anyway, otherwise you would know what the INQ is like. It is a standard apple fanboy trick to pretend they are regular readers.... they think it is soooo original and it will result in the magazine printing apple press releases like the other mags. Your fandom has resulted in you owning a broken phone,,, live with it.

get a grip...

these articles are getting so boring now. I used to visit this website to simply read technology/computing news but it's more like a school playground now. It's quite obvious you have a problem with Apple but it's getting a little tedious now and it's generally not very good reading.

"Reluctant shiny gadget repairman" and an article riddled with sarcasm isn't for me. I'll read elsewhere I think.
