Apple makes the Ipad available in nine more countries

Prepare to be disappointed
Mon Jul 19 2010, 14:40

MAKER OF GADGETS Apple has announced that its will release its Ipad in nine more countries this Friday.

Perhaps hoping to steer a little attention away from the very bad press it is getting about the Iphone 4 and its antenna and other faults, Apple will unleash its Ifad on more countries in Europe and Asia.

Apple fanbois in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore will also be able to buy the sounds great but boring Ipad from this Friday, thus giving them a whole weekend to realise just how much of the Internet uses Flash.

This does not bother the capuccino kids though, who for some reason think that we need to be told one more time about all the sizzle, bangs and whistles that its gadget offers. So, once again we learn that you can read books on it, put your grubby little fingers all over it, and share photos. We are also reminded that it is just one-half inch thin and weighs only 1.5 pounds.

Prices will vary of course, but we don't know how much. Maybe Apple has been busy testing WiFi signals or something? In the meantime rejoice in knowing that Apple will make a profit on them. µ

Dreadful

Articles like that wouldn't have made it into my junior school newspaper. It rather makes the whole site look ridiculous.

@Frustrated Apple Consumers

Sorry, wrong site.

I guess you people should stick to the news section of apple.com, there you'll be sure to never read biased articles.

re: apple owners

My understanding is that Apple owners aren't uptight, it's Apple trolls that are. They are as annoying to you as they are to me.

As an Apple notebook and imac owner, I like four things: Aluminium, glass, Windows 7, and laughing at Steve Job's misery whenever he gets in trouble with the SEC.

I Truly, Truly Think This Article Is Rediculous - That's Why I Like It

Seriously, this is such a funny article. It's almost informative, wait no it is informative - it gives you the names of the nine countries and the date of release - but what's so great about it is that he used the word fanbois. I think that's supposed to be homo-erotic, right? Why not fangirls?

I do completely agree with one of the comments up there - Apple owners are way too uptight. It's as if they believe that negativity towards Apple is going to somehow keep the company from selling a ton of whatever they release, or so you'd be led to believe. Or maybe because people can't think for themselves and thus any bad press would be turning a would-be Apple lover away and depriving them of their god-given right to Apple... I guess none of them could go down to their local Apple store and test the devices for themselves, perhaps make up their own minds? It wouldn't be because Apple has been so deserving as of late, releasing a faulty product, trying to cover it up, then claiming that it's not just their phone it's everyone's when it simply isn't true? No chance this is an ego thing?

I can only imagine the man in Sweden, reading THE INQUIRER on his iPad . . . (wait, I had to stop and laugh... okay I'm better) sitting in his robe, smoking a pipe, or sunning on the day-porch and simply basking in the glow of his iPad, all the while nasty individuals at THE INQUIRER are publishing naughty tid-bits that offend him deeply... about his purchase. *gag*

Well done inquirer, well done.

Keep up the good work!

This apple stuff is so funny, and the comments from unamused readers is the icing on the cake!

A final comment

From the Publisher's web site

"in·ci·sive: penetrating; cutting; biting; trenchant
Incisive Media delivers world class B2B content in print, in person and online. The trust our readers and visitors have in the authority and integrity of our content is the cornerstone of our success."

The reporters here are destroying any semblance of "authority", "balance" and "integrity" that still remains with this publication.

The "cornerstone" of the publisher's success can only become eroded.

Fed Up With This Rubbish

I have read Mr Magee's web sites since the late '90s. His brand of journalism was entertaining, insightful, critical, sarcastic at times but never rude for the sake of being rude.
After leaving the Register his style was continued in this site.

That style was entertaining and informative.

The house style of the Inquirer these days is simply to be rude.

Rude to manufacturers.
Rude to readers.

Opinion - you are entitled to yours, am I.

Putting forth opinion as fact is however wrong. N. Farrel, L. Latif and now D. Neal. You are doing YOUR profession a huge dis-service.

Report the news as news.
If you wish to place an opinion in the articles you write, mark the section as so.

Stop coming over as arrogant, ignorant stirrers of brown smelly stuff.

Leave that to the people on both sides who you dis-respectfully describe as "fanbo i y (s)"

I guess my message to the employees of the Inquirer is GROW UP.

@EU

I presume you were being sarcastic when you said, "The Register or Zdnet." Both of them, especially ZDNet, are getting to be just anti-Apple ranting sites. I go to neither anymore. It will probably one of my last visits here too. When I go to "News" I expect news and just news. Not an opinion piece!! What's up with these so called tech sites? They think they'll get more hits. Maybe from the fanbois but for the rest of us it just drives us away!!

LOL

I'm laughing at this article, and it's author, as I read it on my iPad in Sweden!

Not news

You're an idiot. This is not how a proper news organization writes news. Or maybe that would be assuming too much. I guess you all think defaming companies and antagonizing readers will increase readership and get you points somewhere. You're wrong because it only lowers your status as a credible news source when you make things up. I should have spent my time more wisely reading from The Register or Zdnet.
