Why are you looking at a smartphone if you are only interested in making phone calls? There should be no need to assess the quality of a phone call or reception in any phone - cheap, smart or otherwise. Its base functionality as a phone should not need to go under the microscope. It is the Iphone which fails this category, not the other thousands of models of phones out there.
When people read reviews on smartphones, they are interested in hearing about the OTHER features, because they know it will do a good job of working as a phone.
The supposed problem with the Iphone 4 is that it is "unacceptable" for making phone calls; yet this top ten list says nothing about how well those other phones will make calls. I don't need to read another list of how well smart phones run apps or access the internet; I want to see smart phones rated based on how well they make phone calls.
They pay the bills.
The fact that this is--yet another--top 10 list on V3 automatically gives this article zero credibility, like or hate the iPhone.
I needed a phone that is able to make phone calls, thanks for the list!
