You can always spot a professional

THE INQUIRER was treated to demos of Microsoft's Kinect game today at the company's Christmas in July event at the Saatchi Gallery.

Rather than watch INQUIRER hacks jump up and down and jog on the spot and lean side to side to play the athletics, white water rafting and driving games that are expected to come with the gesture out-of-control product in November, we think our readers will much rather watch professional dancers.

The Kinect camera system can be seen in the lower right hand corner of the screen and the images on the big display behind the dancers is what they are seeing and following on a smaller display in front of them and out of the camera shot. Spot the accidental pausing of the game by a mistimed arm movement. µ

More Kinect lip-synching?

they need an onviously not synched example.

Kinex is pants, made obvious by the need for dancers to promote it. Were the inq hacks even allowed? Probably not, it must have taken the dancers weeks to learn to perfectly synch with what is on the screen.

ic

Hard to tell if the computer controls the people or the people the computer.
Especially after the people pause because the computer pauses.
