IF BAR CODE READERS are a personal hobby of yours then you might want to shell out over £500 for Motorola's ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant mobile handset. Watch Motorola ES400 product manager Andrew McBain show off the handset's features in the video above. µ
I'm not into barcodes. However, this little baby is rugged device, milspec/IP-rated.
As soon as it's available in Europe and without SIM-lock, I'll buy it! Have its ancestor, the Motorola/Symbol MC35. It's absolutely fabulous. ES400 seems to be even better and it's great compromise between even more rugged MC55/MC75 and "Joe Sixpack"-phones.
MC35's ruggedness has saved it's many times in field. Before it, common phones used to be short lived in my job (military/engineer). Motorola is made for real work. Cheap folks can buy toys.
