Hotmail update rolls out Skydrive for everyone
BIG CHANGES to Hotmail are being rolled out with the apparent intention to send users to Microsoft's Skydrive online file storage and sharing service.
With the updated email service you can send 200 50MB documents to the Vole's cloud along with 200 photos, each again as big as 50MB. The documents can include powerpoint presentations and video. For photos, online albums are created within Skydrive and emails sent to your nearest and dearest that you intend to inflict your holiday snaps on give them access to the picturesque file cloud. While photos received in emails can now be automatically viewed. No malware problem there then.
For desktop access to Hotmail little seems to have changed. There is a summary page that lets you avoid seeing spam, until you actually get to your inbox. And some tab accessed folders for contacts you have previously had to identify as contacts or "social groups," for all those Farmville playing chums, are available.
However some effort does appear to have been made to make Hotmail smartphone friendly. In a Windows blog entry Windows Live Hotmail group programme manager Dick Craddock said "The mobile inbox supports filters, in-line message previews, HTML messages, offline e-mail viewing, conversation threading, the ability to flag messages, the option to show or hide message header details, and more. You can also manage invitations received via Hotmail, set reminders, aggregate multiple calendars, or share a calendar with friends and family, and do it all from your phone's web browser." Is this a whole new vista for mobile browser accessed email or will it actually work on Windows Phone 7? µ

That's all Hotmail on Windows Mobile phone will show. Only the first 50 emails in your Hotmail Inbox. You cannot get any more. 50 is your limit.
That's it, or am I missing a trick. I have a Windows Mobile phone by HTC, one of the "good ones", Touch HD.
I have tried using the built-in email app. I also got the Windows Live Mail app. Both have 50 email Inbox limit, no other folders.
Seriously, wtf use is that?
It's a scandal. I'm shocked in phone reviews that no reviewer ever mentions this. Am I using it wrongly, lol?
Microsoft, please can you stop making your products worse and worse each year? Why can I only see 50 emails in my inbox?

I'm seriously thinking about getting an iphone, the only thing stopping me is the annoying text error correction and lack of arrow keys and editing on the iphone.
