The Iphone 4 might tip up in the UK on 24 June

Two weeks away if you're lucky
Tue Jun 08 2010, 13:09

SHIPMENT DELAYS could return for Apple fanbois pining to get their paws on an Iphone 4 after many were treated harshly by their beloved company and forced to wait until after 28 May to get an Ipad.

It is only two weeks until the 24 June, the Iphone 4 launch date announced by UK networks Orange and O2, however they and the other provider of Apple's new shiny gadget, Vodafone, only want email addresses to keep fanbois informed, but are not giving pricing information now or even taking in cash for pre-orders.

Ronan Dunne, UK O2 CEO said that his company has created a dedicated website for the latest news and updates where customers can see details ahead of the Iphone 4 going on sale.

So in other words you can see adverts, but can't actually order it. Sounds like the network providers want a whole lot of fanbois camping out outside their shops for two weeks.

It is possible that the mobile phone sellers are a bit reluctant to risk the same sort of bad PR they had with the Ipad where the gizmo showed up late and in limited supply.

Fanbois queuing up on the high street is good PR, but people not getting their gadget in the mail on time is bad PR. µ

Jason, shhhhh!

Don't give it away. I like the fact that these articles lead to elevated heart rate and blood pressure in a small portion of the population. Apparently we are born with a fixed amount of heart beats before it gives out, and you never know, Nick might get lucky and finish a few of the older ones off with a stroke.

You guys are idiots...

And I don't mean the writers.

This site is awesome for the same reason Rush Limbaugh is awesome. Whether you agree with them or not, a lot of people enjoy watching them(or listening to them) spew highly opinionated and inflammatory things. There are probably plenty of Apple lovers that think Nick is a hoot, just as there are probably a lot of Democrats that think Rush Limbaugh is the height of hilarity, or at least an alternate viewpoint.

Learn to have thicker skin people, your world's not going to be destroyed simply because someone thinks radically different from you.

If I can tolerate Barack Obama in office, you guys can tolerate a wacky online writer.

This journalist

Is a complete idiot!

Writing complete c**p articles just to try and get hits!

Internet troll

The whole article doesnt really contains any FACTS at all

As per the WWDC10 (i assume the hate , as he probably wasn't invited) The phone will be available to PRE-ORDER on the 15th, hence why there is no order page now

Why don't supposed wannabe journalists research the facts now before typing drivel

Idiot

re:

Not to get in the way of the story, but Apple announced as part of the ihpone release that pre-orders will be open from the 15th June, with shipping on the 24th...which is why you cant order one yet

Why?

Why might the phone 'tip up'? Does it have a poor centre of gravity? Are we expecting an earthquake in the UK on 24th June? Is someone going to knock into the display case?

Oh, I see - you mean "be available", "go on sale" or "appear".

Why didn't you say so!?
