DEVELOPER OF BUG RIDDEN SOFTWARE Microsoft has warned of a bumper Patch Tuesday next week with more than ten bulletins.
Of thpse, three will patch vulnerabilities rated as 'critical', the highest of the Vole's security alert levels.
Two of the critical ones will target components of the Windows, while a third addresses critical flaws in Internet Exploder 6, 7 and 8. Generally all three allow for remote code execution.
They apply to Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. Systems running Windows Server 2003 and 2008 only face a critical risk for one of the Windows bulletins, while the second Windows bulletin and the Internet Explorer patch are considered 'moderate' risks for those systems.
The other seven bulletins each address issues that Microsoft has rated as 'important', and include four flaws in Windows and three fixes for Microsoft Office.
They fix holes which if exploited could lead to attacks that include remote code execution, elevation of privileges and tampering with targeted systems.
There will also be an update for the Windows Malicious Software Removal tool. µ
