With lashings of whippped cream

TAIWANESE FLOGGER OF PCS AND PC PARTS Micro-Star International (MSI) is showcasing an array of netbooks and All-In-One PCs at Computex.

The company has a veritable flotilla of kit at the trade show, with about 30 systems put out for inspection. These include updates to MSI's F series, G series, Wind U, X-Slim and a tablet MSI calls the Slatebook.

The MSI F series has five laptops including the FX400, FX600, FR600, FX610 and the FX700. The FX610 has AMD's "Danube Champlain", built on a 45nm process for lower power consumption.

The gaming G series has the GT760, GT660, GX740 and GX640. The GT series models have USB 3.0 and hot keys to take advantage of graphics switching. All GT models also support up to 12GB of DDR3. That should be just about able to run Crysis.

There are five MSI's Wind Us and the X-Slim series. The U series has a ten-inch U135, a WiMAX U140 and a 12-inch U250 with AMD's dual core Genevo. MSI also bragged about a 10-inch  Slatebook with a multi-touch screen and weighing 800g.

MSI also unmasked its All-in-One touchscreen PCs. The Wind Top AE2420, AE2280 and AE2040 are set for different markets. MSI has opted for Radeon graphics and full HD displays but the AE2420 is the only model to sport a built-in 24-inch 3D display.

"Since its establishment 23 years ago, MSI has been successfully powering what goes inside 1 in 3 PCs worldwide,' said MSI's CEO and President Joseph Hsu.

On a roll, Hsu continued: "MSI is now among the top ten brands in some 30 countries worldwide."

Bizarrely, MSI seems to be passing off some old models as new. It even has new models not even covered in its release. A MSI U160Dx, MSI X360 and concept MSI Sketchbook were shown off at a pre-Computex event but don't even get a look in. Another white elephant in the room was MSI's missing MSI Windpad 100. This was seen on Youtube from a pre-Computex press conference. This 10-incher is due to have a 1024 x 600 touchscreen, Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and Windows 7. µ

Where ITs' ALL Going....

Msi, or Microstar, believed to be involved with Chicago Gangsterism & Distribution, mid west then Taiwain. One New point msi could look into is adding what ever powercolor hd5770 Lucid chip to mains'.

second creation from PowerColor that caught our eye is their HD 5770 Evolution, a graphics card with a Lucid Hydra Engine chip on board, which allows it to be paired with any other ATI or NVIDIA graphics card. The Lucid Hydra engine drives the graphics subsystem with whatever resources that are available to it.

Add Puzzle mix with core openers & Cloud on Chip supercomputing, growing engines & Transistor complexity with main in workstation, beyound graphics as mere enduser media. like Hp ads with blue & Read Sars & squares. Personally always wished steaming ads had audio as default. Sony was Best. Moore,Moore,Moore....BEVERAGES.

Resizing

1.6MB image for a 75 pixel high thumbnail. Perhaps the Inquirer could invest in some graphics/HTML/clue training.

12gb? Fail.

12gb of ram doesn't make gaming better. having a GTX 285M or HD5870 Discreet GPU onboard does. Next time skip the memory nonsense and mention the graphics chip instead.
