BUMBLING SOFTWARE BEHEMOTH Microsoft has swung its handbag back at the news that Google is replacing all of its Windows desktops because they are insecure.
The story came from the Financial Times, which had talked with sources in the Googleplex who said it is impossible to get Windows now without CIO approval.
However Microsoft hit back claiming that Windows is not any less secure than software built by Apple or Google.
Writing in his blog, Brandon LeBlanc of Microsoft said that there had been "some coverage overnight about the security of Windows and whether or not one particular company is reducing its use of Windows... We thought this was a good opportunity to set the record straight."
He said that when it comes to security even hackers admit Microsoft is doing a better job making its products more secure than anyone else. We guess the hackers are Windows fanbois and send the Vole complaints if they find it's harder to hack into than before.
LeBlanc said that it was not just the hackers, but third-parties and industry leaders like Cisco keep ringing up the Vole to say what a wonderful job it is doing.
"An article today by InfoWorld discusses how Macs are under attack by high-risk malware - the article goes on to ask if this is a future sign of things to come for Apple and security. Microsoft makes the security of our customers a huge priority. Here are some examples of the things we are focused on to help make our customers more secure," he said.
So we guess that is a big "neener, Google, your mother dresses you funny" from Microsoft.
However there has still been nothing official from Google saying that it has pulled the Voleware from all its computers, so we guess Microsoft will not want to escalate this too much. µ
Well its like this Bing have stolen over 2% from google since its launch and thet is set to increase, there has to be this competition between them or else we would suffer. I personaly think that Bings search results have far greater relevance and this is partly becuase Google still use Dmoz are there "huh huh" Directory or Index, lol what a joke Dmoz is dead, at least Bing have the Yahoo Directory which in fact does have quality websites and not just any old cr*p including blogs, articles and arghhh paid sponsers everywhere. Google has become to much of an advertiser and a search engine second it seems. I still use all 3 main search engines for many reasons. But look at it this way Bing, Yahoo between them have over 30% of the market and that will increase as google pull out of china, if anyone can crack china it will be Microsoft. Hence the whole handbags at nine yards.
