The top ten of all time
Wed Apr 28 2010, 15:21

PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES, it's part of the human condition. But, to paraphrase an old joke, to really screw things up requires technology.

We've seen some notable IT cock-ups in the past week. However, to put things in perspective V3 has put together a list of the the Top 10 technology mistakes of the last several decades. µ

Oh well

The v3 link doesn't work from an iPhone. Comments don't work from an iPhone. The Inquirer doesn't like iPhones - sorry Iphones - surprise.

Had to comment from my PC but still can't be bothered to read yet another Top 10 V3 link. yawn.

Hold up...

Hold on, is it just me... or did they miss the AMD quad core fuck up?

To review... X2 kicks crap out of P4. AMD rapidly gaining marketshare... Intel releases Xeons with P4 badge to compensate.

Where is AMD? Fine you bought ATI... Fine you got aggressive by going straight for native quad core instead of doing the Intel thing you chastised 'We will never glue two cores together!'

My two cents... It cost AMD a lot... and they are years behind Intel (arguably) but lets see how long it takes to catch up?

Don't get me wrong, I have an AMD in the system I am typing this on... But when the Pony you bet on losses...

Top 10 lists, please give us a linky summary.

The first 2 of the top 10 were so lame that I couldn't be bothered to click through 5 pages to find out the others. So please provide the full list on the front page and if we like them we can click on the ones we do like.

Then you can see which are popular and which aren't.

And those lists that you send us to on that site have been so lame that I am really struggling to say something nice. Please don't link us to dull articles, especially long winded dull articles that go on and on over several pages.

Those links are the complete opposite to The Inquirer's style - short, sharp and punchy!

by "Inquirer Staff"

I guess nobody wants to take credit (blame) for posting this shameless plug for the sister site's shitty top-10 list.

If you don't like v3...

...you could always read exactly the same article on pcauthority.com.au, with pictures.

Freelance contributors without an exclusivity clause, or is someone cribbing?

@Steve-O

Got it in one Steve-O. I read most of it, and it is a v3 plug.

Tech mistakes: the twats don't mention eg exploding USA spaceshuttles nor exploding Soviet nuclear reactors and reporocessing plants.

V3

I knew this was a shameless V3 plug, and I was not dissapointed.

I'm not going to click on the link because whoever wrote the article is a luddite (I know this from reading previous ones - big mistake).

If anyone feels like they arn't quite dumb enough today and should click on this link, you're better to smash your head off a wall and get a bruise on your brain.
