WANNA-BE PHONE FLOGGER Microsoft's Kin One and Kin Two handsets will turn up with chips running at 600MHz.

The Vole's social notworking phones' specs have appeared on the web and show that its Zune-like gadgets will have processors that are moderately fast for a phone.

According to GDGT both the Kin One and Kin Two will have Nvidia Tegra 600MHz processors and EV-DO broadband technology, which should make the gadgets capable of running a variety of applications. They will also have 256MB of RAM and an 8GB hard-drive.

While the world plus dog is focusing on extending battery life by running lower powered chips, Microsoft is using a more power hungry chip.

However the fact that the Kin phones' expected battery life has not been leaked in these specs might be a bad sign. They will have small screens but will be able to run run movie codecs. µ

puzzling...

have microsoft ever come up with their own ideas or always jumped on other peoples' bandwagons?

they dont seem to do a better job so why bother?

personally i wouldnt buy a ms product because of the draconian drm but i dont think ms has the fanboi base like apple (that will buy an item irrespective of need or function) so maybe they do this as a tax deductable loss?
