UK politicians don't get technology

Blunders of our time
Wed Apr 14 2010, 15:03

IF IT'S NOT CLEAR to you that politicians in the UK are often totally clueless when it comes to modern information technology, we know where you can look to become utterly convinced of that.

A couple of our colleagues at V3 have helpfully put together a rather damning indictment of Blighty's politicians' most embarrassing technology blunders and gaffes. µ

Remember

The more a politician knows about something the more he tries to fuck it up for everybody.
Let's hope their ignorance remains.

Why would they?

Saying a politician doesn't get technology, is like saying a prostitute doesn't understand how a coil ignition system workd. Why would they?

And I think the politician:prostitute analogy works well.

Of course

Of course they dont get it, neither do any of the CEO's of record and movie companies.

It wont be until someone of Gen X or Y gets into one of these positions that they will stop the idiotic censoring, mismanagment of net policies and stop talking complete tripe under the pretence of 'protecting the public' that something of an acceptable nature will be put forward.

Politicians are OLD MEN with values from their generations that have no place in our modern society, the way they handle things reminds me of my parents in the 80's and 90's hating pop music just as I hate current music trends, They cant deal with it or give it time so it just gets restricted or shut off.

Idiots.
